Kelly: I am a wife, mother to five children, a Realtor, Director of Operations to my Real Estate team, "The Hardman Team", co-owner of a Real Estate Transaction Coordination and Photography/Videography business, "Real Estate Professional Services (REPS)", co-founder to a non-profit organization, "Give Love, Repeat" and co-founder of a local networking group, "Business Made Social".
Sam: I am married to my wife Ann (we met in the 8th grade!) and we have 3 kids Mason, Noel and Ethan…and Perry, the world’s okayest dog. Earlier in life I was a cook in the U.S. Coast Guard and still love cooking and collecting (drinking) bourbon.
Kelly: I was born and raised in a small town called Clifton, VA. I have stayed in Virginia my entire life and now reside in Gainesville, VA.
Sam: I was born in Mobile, AL. My Dad was in the Coast Guard so we moved a lot. We moved to Northern Virginia in 1992 and I’ve been here since then. (Except for when I joined the Coast Guard after high school and moved around a bit before getting out and coming back to Virginia)
Q: What is one of your favorite quotes or lines in a song or movie and why does it resonate with you?
Kelly: "It's what you do right now that makes a difference." – Strueker I am building the foundation to help as many people as possible. What I am doing now will determine how many lives will be helped in the future.
Sam: My favorite quote recently is from Pascal… "If I Had More Time, I Would Have Written a Shorter Letter".
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your business?
Sam & Kelly: At The Hardman Team we create a community where we uplift and empower each other to grow and succeed. Together, we elevate and rise. The Hardman Team is here to provide agents with a massive support system, while giving our clients the best experience possible. We also have a 501c3 non-profit called Give Love, Repeat that helps people in the community with short term financial help.
Kelly: My husband, Chris and I created Real Estate Professional Services (R.E.P.S.) to incorporate all of the things we love about real estate into one place! We understand that it takes a whole team to make a real estate deal go from start to finish. With us, you will receive incredible photos, video tours, and 3D matterports. We will help handle the administrative work, communicate with other real estate agents, coordinate schedules, follow-up to ensure that your deal gets to closing on time! Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
Kelly: I was working at my best friend's law firm. She asked if I wanted to get my real estate license with her because the firm handles Real Estate law and settlements. I studied for a year while working and tending to the kids. I'm so thankful that she asked me to join her in this. I love my career!
Sam: I grew up with posters of famous Realtors on my wall! jk…It was the family business so I joined up after I got out of the Coast Guard.
Q: What do you enjoy most about what you do?
Kelly: I enjoy helping people navigate one of the biggest decisions of their life. I like to offer as many resources as possible to make the exciting, yet stressful, time as easy as possible. This job gives me the flexibility to be able to enjoy my kids and also to get creative in ways to market and build relationships.
Sam: Getting to help people.
Q: What advice would you give to your 18-year-old self?
Kelly: Take care of your health. Save half of your paycheck. Travel.
Sam: Find ways to be around the right people and ask them the right questions. Find ways to help people.
Q: What is one of your favorite places to be or travel to?
Kelly: My family loves to go camping so we bought a travel trailer a few years ago. It's nice to see other places and enjoy time together outdoors.
Sam: My son Mason plays soccer pretty competitively and he’s been able to play overseas in Scotland, England and in Spain. He’s going to play in Italy this year. I would rather be watching him play than go to any professional game.
Q: If you could choose anyone (past or present, fictional or real) with whom to have lunch, who would it be and why?
Sam: Anthony Bourdain because we’d go somewhere amazing!
Q: Who inspires you to be the best version of yourself?
Kelly: My husband, Chris pushes me daily to be the best version of myself. We are a great team and he wants me to give my all in this life. He is very supportive of all of my goals in personal and business. I wouldn't be who I am today without him.

Q: How did you first discover “The Go-Giver”?
Kelly: "The Go-Giver" was chosen as a book for our book club to read.
Sam: I was waiting for my daughter to finish up at a Barnes and Noble. “The Go-Giver” was on the shelf so I picked it up and started reading. I read the first two chapters, bought the book and finished it when I got home.
Q: Who would you like to see featured on The Faces Of The Go-Giver Community and why?
Kelly: I would like to see Rachel Loback with Rachel's Floors featured. She has a go-giver heart in everything that she does. She is a hard worker, great friend, and always involved in the community to support others.
Sam: Trish Yan! She was the coach at our Beyond the Mastermind, and she is our Real Estate coach now. She is amazing!!
Q: Finally, how can we know if someone we come in contact with is a good connection or prospective customer/client for you?
Kelly: I am always looking to connect with other Realtors to either 1. Join our amazing team or 2. Use our transaction coordinating or photography services. If anyone is looking to move to, or from the northern Virginia area, that would be a fabulous connection too!
Sam: A great connection for us would be someone moving in or out of the DC area. Also, someone that is in charge of their company’s corporate benefits, so that we can talk about helping their employees with owning a home.
