My name is Harjeet Kaur Rathour. I love to hike trails, connect with nature, and travel. A mother of three beautiful children, I've been married to my wonderful husband for 19 years. He is literally an answer to my Ardas. I'm the first born, and my two brothers and my sister inspire me everyday as do my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. My parents have always been my support system throughout my journey. Also, I am a proud pup mom to Yoyo my 10 year old German Shephard-Husky mix.
I graduated Farmingdale College in 2012 with a major in Business Management and minor in Law and started my real estate journey 2016 during a moment of stillness. The 9-5 just didn't help me fill a void, I knew there had to be more to life. One day feeling stuck, my dad said something to me that became the start of something great. He told me that it's ok to be stuck, as long as I'm not going in a downward spiral. He told me to take this moment and enjoy it. To enjoy it with my children, enjoy it with my husband, be grateful that I have a roof over our heads that we can afford. And in this gratitude map out what's next.
Taking my dad’s advice, I remembered the time I worked in sales with Aflac and how it made me feel. I remembered making an appointment with the Realtor® who sold my house and her suggesting I sell real estate. When in high school back in 1999 I wanted to be a Realtor®, having been inspired by a Realtor® prospecting our then Vitamin store. This vision circled back in 2016.
I believe in being grateful for the present moment.
Harjeet is a Punjabi name and Punjabi names are unisex. The belief of truth and equality is the foundation of the Sikh faith. Har means Always. Jeet means Victory. I have always been intrigued by the meaning of names which is why I chose my children's name with intent. I have 3 beautiful children, a pet dog named Yoyo and my wonderful husband Satwinder S. Rodh, who has been my best friend and partner for 19 years. This February will be 20! The oldest of four children, my siblings look up to me as I look up to my brothers and sister. They inspire me in so many different ways. I am blessed to have my mom and dad in my life who have been a huge support of my journey through life.

Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
While working a normal day at my dad’s office as the billing manager, I just felt stuck. I felt like there was a purpose in my life; a calling within me that my purpose was greater than what I was currently doing. I went with the flow of the universe during that time and a little seed that was planted in 1999 started to sprout in 2016.

Q: What advice would you give to your 18-year-old self?
I would tell my 18-year-old self that I am beautiful and smart and to make decisions that align with who I am.
Q: What is one of your favorite places to be or travel to?
I love the serenity of a log cabin in the mountains, it's my favorite place to be.
