Top 10 Avon Team Leader in the United States with Avon for over 25 years. I’m also an author, speaker and entrepreneur. In 2022 I produced a community play for the first time and also coauthored a business parable for the first time: I like to explore and say YES to different experiences in my entrepreneurial journey.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about yourself. Feel welcome to include your family and pets too.
Mom is my number one title! I have a 17-year-old artist son, Alexx. We have 5 cats, 1 dog and a gecko named “Billie”. We live in the great state of New Hampshire.
Q: Where were you born, where were you raised, and where do you currently live (City, State/Province, Country)?
Born in Athol, Massachusetts, raised in Orange, Massachusetts and we currently live in Weare, New Hampshire.
Q: What is one of your favorite quotes or lines in a song or movie and why does it resonate with you?
“I thought the secretary would sit out here?” from the movie WORKING GIRL. It was the moment she realized SHE wasn’t the secretary; she HAD a secretary.
Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
Working for myself has long appealed to me because there is not a cap on my earnings. In sales, it did not matter my gender or appearance: I get paid based on how much I sell.
Q: What do you enjoy most about what you do?
Definitely the people — the customers I serve and the team members on my team that I serve are both very important to me.
Q: What advice would you give to your 18-year-old self?
Easy: STAY SINGLE
Q: What is one of your favorite places to be or travel to?
Hawaii!
Q: If you could choose anyone (past or present, fictional or real) with whom to have lunch, who would it be and why?
Jeff West. We are currently working on a book collaboration together and whenever I can spend time with him it is great with me. He is such a smart man and wicked funny!
Q: Who inspires you to be the best version of yourself?
Whoever I am being of service to. Sometimes that might be a customer, a team member, someone in the theater company or my coauthor. I want to do my best for them.
Q: How did you first discover “The Go-Giver”?
I met Bob Burg at the New England Speaker’s Association meeting, and we stayed in touch. When he came out with “The Go-Giver” I was an early reader.
Q: Who would you like to see featured on The Faces Of The Go-Giver Community and why?
As many members as possible. I love reading all of the different stories in the different professions. It’s great knowing that like-minded Go-Givers are from all walks of life.
Q: Finally, how can we know if someone we come in contact with is a good connection or prospective customer/client for you?
With my Avon business, people usually mention Avon by name. I can be of service for all things Avon — buying or selling.
