I have traveled a curvy road to success. Hired as a Flight Attendant at 19, it was during the time when service was everything and I draw on that experience often. My varied careers have offered opportunities to expand into new skills, each building on the other evolving into my current Intuitive Business Coaching.
Ultimately, I am committed to becoming my best self daily. I am passionate about helping others to reach their true potential realizing success both personally and professionally in often surprising ways.
Q: Where were you born, where were you raised, and where do you currently live (City, State/Province, Country)?
I was born in Hibbing, Minnesota, often the coldest spot in the nation. At age 6 we moved to Southern California. There were many moves within 5 different states until January of 2021 when I arrived in Asheville, North Carolina, USA.
Q: What is one of your favorite quotes or lines in a song or movie and why does it resonate with you?
“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying I will try again tomorrow.” I heard this quote in 1986. I was in my early days of sobriety; it touched me deeply. I wasn’t feeling very courageous at the time. Now 38 years sober I continue to rely on this message.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your business?
My Intuitive Business Coaching is a blend of business acumen and intuitive guidance. The intuitive aspect allows me to see what is in the way of having what my clients really desire to create. Once those areas are cleared and new alignment is in place, they are able to move forward with more ease.
Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
In 1996 my intuitive and channeling abilities were being awakened in me. During that initial 3-year journey my life changed dramatically. Over time I was able to integrate my intuitive and business skills and be more open. I was in a management position at a Boutique Hotel and my General Manager began asking for assistance with hiring decisions—a miraculous turn of events. In 2002 I knew it was time to take a giant leap of faith to leave structured employment and begin my business which is designed to support entrepreneurs and business owners.
Q: What do you enjoy most about what you do?
I love my work. Every session feels fresh and expansive. I never know in advance what will come through me for my client. Blending the business acumen and intuitive skills is very fulfilling for me and benefits my clients not only in their business but also in their personal lives and relationships.
Q: What advice would you give to your 18-year-old self?
You are going to make it. You feel lost, scared, and broken now, but it won’t be that way forever. You have more courage than you realize and it will serve you well. Keep your precious heart open. Your kindness is your super power, never lose that. Always keep dancing, who cares if no one else dances in the grocery store. Never give up… a magnificent life awaits you.
Q: What is one of your favorite places to be or travel to?
Currently discovering North Carolina, I have only just begun. Next are Georgia and Tennessee.
Q: If you could choose anyone (past or present, fictional or real) with whom to have lunch, who would it be and why?
Barbra Streisand. She wasn’t considered beautiful, was ridiculed for her lazy/crossed eyes, and is Jewish. She was the first woman to produce, direct, co-write, and star in a major motion picture. Yentl was released in 1983 and won a Golden Globe. She stands up for what she believes in and is a voice for positive change. A major highlight of my life was seeing her perform live in 2006 with II Divo.
Q: Who inspires you to be the best version of yourself?
My clients. I am inspired daily by their courage to be vulnerable in order to make the changes they desire to have the life and business they deserve.
Q: How did you first discover “The Go-Giver”?
Bob Burg was the speaker at Jill Lublin’s monthly Kindness Circle. I knew immediately “The Go-Giver” community was for me.
Q: Who would you like to see featured on The Faces Of The Go-Giver Community and why?
Yermi Kurkus. I was in a breakout room with him recently and I definitely want to know more about him. He is a vibrant and passionate man.
Q: Finally, how can we know if someone we come in contact with is a good connection or prospective customer/client for you?
A good connection or prospective client is an entrepreneur or small business owner with an established business. They have many creative ideas for what to do next and yet are unsure which one to implement first. They may have reached a plateau and are not sure what is getting in the way. Even though they are doing well in their business, there is an undercurrent of unfinished emotional energy or trauma that doesn’t seem to resolve.
